Entertainment management
Entertainment management is about the knowledge and skills required to successfully produce an entertainment performance event and manage an entertainment organisation. It's not just about managing artists or managing mainstream media - it is about the effective management to provide optimum entertainment value to attract and build patronage. The Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Entertainment Management is developed in response to demands for management specialists in the entertainment service sector.
The programme prepares future experts of entertainment management who will play key roles in driving businesess using the entertainment-engagement principles. Topics of the entertainment industry, broad knowledge for operating an entertainment organisation and specialisation in different entertainment categories.
The programme is suitable for those who foresee their future away from the usual 9-to-5 routine and aspire to develop a career in the exciting entertainment industry, and for industry personnel who wish to enhance their knowledge for professional development.
The diploma’s features:
- Offers progression into the Advanced Diploma in Entertainment Management with majors in clubs management, events management and theme parks management for students to choose.

- Field trips to entertainment sites and businesses to facilitate industry- and work-based continuous assessments and projects.
- Apart from the diploma, the programme provides vocational certification from ICG School of Casino & Hospitality Management for casino game dealing and table supervision as co-curriculum.
- Can be completed on a full time or part time basis.
Design & content
Course Duration: 400 hours / level
Each diploma level consists of 8 modules of lecture and tutorial sessions to be completed in 6 months full time or 12 months on part time mode.

Curriculum
Teaching methods used in the programme are diverse and provide variety to the student learning experience.
Apart from lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials, students are required to conduct field studies at actual entertainment organisations such as clubs, amusement parks, art venues, museums etc.
Assessments
Course assessment involves a combination of field trip reports, class presentations, role plays, tests and examinations.
Students will also undertake an industry project which requires crafting a functional entertainment-focused business proposal for an actual industry client.
Class Size
The maximum class size is 25 students per batch.
Awards
Upon successful completion of each diploma level, students will receive an individual Diploma in Entertainment Management and Advanced Diploma in Entertainment Mangement issued by ICG School of Casino & Hospitality Management.
