Board of Academics
Subject to the provisions of Government’s legislations and regulatory frameworks, to the overall responsibility of ICG’s Board of Governors, the Board of Academics is responsible to oversee the development of the academic and related activities of the School and the resources needed to support them and for advising the Board of Governors on academic ethics, academic standards, programme curriculum, pedagogy, students’ learning experience, academic partnerships, research, examinations, as well as student admission.
Mr Daryl William Alcock
Senior Lecturer / MBA Programme Director

Mr Alcock is a Senior Lecturer in Management and Organisational Behaviour at CQ University, Australia. Having spent six years as the Associate Dean (International operations) in the Faculty of Business & Law, CQU, his experience in course development and sensitivity to global business operations has proved a useful foundation for research interests that now lie in cross-cultural learning, and the instructional design of teaching models used in international higher education. His current role of the MBA Programme Director allows him to continue his work in those areas of research interest. Prior to becoming an academic in 1990, Daryl’s early workplace experience as a Technical Officer in the Planning an Engineering departments of Telecom (Telstra), has equipped him with a strong practical background in management and HRM. He has presented educational conference papers in England, Australia and the Asia Pacific Basin, and his external research consultancy involves providing advice on small business management for local and state government bodies.
Mr Michael J. Gore

Mr Gore is a prominent figure in the international gaming industry since 1988 when he was the VP Surveillance of the Lucayan Beach Resort and Casino till 1990. He is a highly respected veteran of the gaming industry in South East Asia and the surrounding regions since 1990, starting out as Corporate Director Surveillance & Security withGenting International Ltd till 1993 following which he held the position of VP Casino Operations. In 1994, Mr Gore was the GM for Player Development with Crown Casino Australia. From 1996 till present time, Mr Gore is the Gaming Consultant, Executive Director, CEO and COO of Jayport Holdings Ltd. Mr Gore took part in Genting’s Groups bid for the Integrated Resorts licence in Singapore and prepared the comprehensive IR casino applications for the Genting Group. Mr Gore was responsible with formulating and writing the casino marketing, casino operations, and strategic plans which was part of the submission, following which Genting won the bid in December 2006. Mr Gore is also an active trainer and consultant whose experience and expertise are highly valued by the international business and Gaming community. Through out his career, Mr Gore has been invited around the globe to give speeches, presentations, and training for multinational organisations and international casino gaming conferences in Australia, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA, and Singapore.
Mr Alan Middleton

Alan Middleton, formerly the Corporate Training Manager with Venetian Macau Limited until 2006, is the Director at Middleton Hotel and Tourism Consultancy Ltd, Macau. Alan has been in the Hospitality industry for over 35 years starting out as an assistant Hotel Manager in 1974 and holding various key positions in a number of prominent organisations such as Vice President Hotel Operations and Training at Star Cruises, Malaysia from 1994 to 2003. Specialising in Hotel General Management, Training and Development and F&B Operations and a qualified trainer, Mr Middleton has great passion in sharing his knowledge. He has been widely involved in training and lecturing for both colleges and corporations.
Mr Ramachandar Siva

Mr Ramachandar is a respected casino industry veteran who started as a management trainee with the Genting Group in 1988. Upon completing stints as a casino floor operations manager he was chosen to lead the training and development initiatives, becoming the first casino training manager for Casino De Genting of Malaysia. In 1998 he was transferred to Star Cruises and appointed as the Vice President of Casino Operations (Training & Manpower). Mr Ramachandar was a key person to turn around the Star Cruises operations after the Asian Financial Crisis in 1997-1998. He provided the human resources direction for the operations. With 20 years experience in casino operations and training management, Mr Ramachandar is well known within the industry for his expertise and passion for casino employee education and training. He designed and developed ICG’s Certificate in Dealing Casino Games and Certificate in Casino Management (Floor Operations) and various management courses for the casino industry. He is frequently called upon to consult for major casino operators in the region and has presented numerous seminars worldwide. International Club Games Training Centre is a world-class casino skills training and education school was the brain-child of Mr Ramachandar, a culmination of his many years of expertise in the area of continuous learning and skills enhancement of casino workers.
Mr Tan Kim Guan

Mr Tan has over 8 years of experience in the private education industry in Singapore. He started his career as a Student Service Executive with Raffles College of Commerce which he was highly involved in student care programmes and course liaison with numerous UK, US and Australia universities such as University of Leicester, California State University Easy Bay and CQ University. Mr Tan soon rose to become an Assistant Manager of International Operations Division which he accumulated much of his experience in dealing with statutory authorities, developing operational standards and systems, monitoring the quality standard of local and overseas school operations, and developing new products for international markets. Mr Tan was one of the pioneers in the school setup of ERC Institute as a Senior Manager in Product Development and Centre Quality. He was in charge of ensuring the quality standard of the school academic and operation departments, developing and managing university partnerships and designing new products. He was also the key driver of the institute’s attainment of CaseTrust for Education, Singapore Quality Class and Workforce Skills Qualification accreditation. With his experience in new school setup, Mr Tan was the GM of Melior Business School taking charge of student admissions, registrar, operation and academic developments. Mr Tan is currently the Director of Operations of ICG which he is highly involved in school development initiatives, as well as operation and academic developments.
Ms Debbie Woon
Business Consultant / Adjunct Lecturer
A pioneer in marketing and business communications across the Asia Pacific region, holding a robust record of more-than-a-decade in successful marketing management and strategic alliances in major corporations, Ms Woon was the pioneering Chief Marketing Officer of Universitas21 Global, the world’s 1st fully online graduate business MBA School. Ms Woon was also a key member in the debut APAC marketing division in Motorola Electronics in 1992 and was the general manager of sales and marketing for Pacific Internet, Asia Pacific’s 1st NASDAQ-listed ISP, for both the Internet Service Provider business group and the e-Business division. Being a Singapore Government Merit Scholar trained in economics and education, Ms Woon charted new waters in business imperatives for speed-to-market entry strategies, flagship planning, and best-practices execution in both challenging start-up environments and multi-national establishments during her early career years. With the growth of world’s tourism industry, Ms Woon has applied her domain knowledge and significant learning to the travel sector. Ms Woon held the post of Senior VP, Regional Marketing for Jetstar. She is presently imparting her knowledge in this arena through her role as an adjunct lecturer of transnational tourism courses offered by Tourism Institute of Australia.
